Today we're excited to announce Cross-Document Synthesis, a new AI-powered feature that helps you discover connections between ideas across your entire knowledge base.
The Problem
As your study materials grow, it becomes harder to see the big picture. That concept from your biology notes might connect to something you learned in chemistry, but you'd never know unless you happened to review them at the same time.
How It Works
Cross-Document Synthesis uses AI to analyze all your flashcards, notes, and study materials. It identifies concepts that relate to each other, even when they use different terminology or come from different subjects.
For example, it might connect:
- Cellular respiration in biology with combustion reactions in chemistry
- Supply and demand in economics with feedback loops in systems theory
- Recursion in computer science with mathematical induction
Why This Matters
Research on transfer learning shows that students who can connect concepts across domains have deeper understanding and better retention. Cross-Document Synthesis makes these connections visible and reviewable.
